Adjusting t he c arburetor

Only adjusting screw (S) can be manipulated by the user.
If t he s aw c hain m oves i n i dle ( i.e. w ithout t he t hrottle b eing
pressed), i t i s i mperative t o c orrect t he i dle s peed!
Do not adjust the idle speed until after complete as-­
sembly a nd t esting o f t he s aw!
Idle s peed a djustment m ust o nly b e u ndertaken w hen
the e ngine i s w arm, w ith a c lean a ir fi lter a nd p roperly
installed g uide b ar a nd c hain.
Use a screwdriver (5/32" (4 mm) blade) for idle speed ad-­
justments.
Adjusting t he i dle s peed
Turn adjusting screw (S) counter-­clockwise (unscrew):
Idle speed decreases.
Turn a djusting s crew ( S) clockwise (screw in): Idle speed
increases.
Important: I f t he s aw c hain s till m oves d uring i dle e ven
after y ou h ave a djusted t he i dle s peed, d o N OT u se t he
