Try Recording
(Note 1) You cannot change the beat of a song while recording is in progress. Furthermore, you
cannot change the beat used for a recorded song until the recorded song is deleted.

With the keyboard in Split mode, recording is as shown below.

(Note 4) If any track already has material recorded in it, tracks will not automatically be select-
ed for recording. You will need to press a [Track] button to select a track for recording.
The selected [Track] buttonÕs indicator flashes.
If you select a track that already has material recorded in it, and then begin recording,
the material previously recorded is erased.
Only sounds from Drum Sets such as GS STANDARD Set and SOUND EFFECT, and
automatic accompaniment tones can be recorded to the [R] button. These sounds can-
not be recorded on tracks [1] and [2].
(Note 5) When beginning to record, a count sound (unrelated to the [Metronome] button) plays
until the start of recording. This count sound cannot be turned off.
Recording Performances With Automatic Accompaniment
1.
Press the [Pianist] button (p.20).
2.
Select a style.
3.
Press the [Rec] button, putting the keyboard in record standby mode.
4.
Play a chord in the chord recognition part of the keyboard.
Recording will start at the same time as the automatic accompanimentÕs intro.
5.
Press the [Play] button to stop recording.
The piano accompaniment is recorded to the [R] button, and your performance is
recorded to the [2] button.
