Display panel, non-touch

IMPORTANT:
any old parts. Return all old parts to HP for warranty processing.
CAUTION:
it is very important to use the exact cable that shipped with the replacement panel. Failure to use
the correct cable may result in panel failure.
To remove the display panel:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the rear port cover (see
3.
Remove the stand (see
4.
Remove the access panel (see
5.
Remove the optical drive (see
6.
Remove the system board shield (see
7.
Remove the heat sink (see
8.
Remove the speakers (see
9.
Remove the top trim (see
10.
Remove the right trim (see
11.
Remove the rear I/O cover and bottom trim (see
12.
To separate the bezel from the main frame, remove the two Torx screws that secure the bezel to the
frame (1).
13.
Disengage the tabs along the sides that secure the bezel to the frame. Tabs are as follows:
(2) 5 tabs along the left side
(3) 6 tabs along the top
(4) 3 tabs on the right side (1 tab under system board (5))
14.
Remove the speaker wire from the routing path on the bottom of the bezel (5).
Install the new display panel together with all other parts in the replacement kit. Do not reuse
