Pull connector ? and the hose out of the

housing.
Remove the cap from the valve on the col-
X
lapsible spare wheel.
Screw union nut : of the hose onto the valve.
X
Make sure on/off switch A of the tire infla-
X
tion compressor is set to 0.
Insert connector ? into a 12 V socket
X
( page 262) in your vehicle.
Y
Turn the SmartKey to position 1 in the ignition
X
lock ( page 127).
Y
Press on/off switch A on the tire inflation
X
compressor to I.
The tire inflation compressor is switched on.
The tire is inflated. The tire pressure is shown
on pressure gauge =.
Inflate the tire to the specified tire pressure.

The specified tire pressure is printed on the
yellow label of the emergency spare wheel.
When the specified tire pressure has been
X
reached, press on/off switch A on the elec-
tric air pump to 0.
The tire inflation compressor is switched off.
Turn the SmartKey to position 0 in the ignition
X
lock.
If the tire pressure is higher than the specified
X
pressure, press pressure release valve but-
ton ; until the correct tire pressure has been
reached.
Unscrew air hose union nut : from the valve.
X
Screw the cap onto the valve of the collapsi-
X
ble spare wheel again.
Stow connector ? and the hose in the lower
X
section of the tire inflation compressor.
Stow the tire inflation compressor in the vehi-
X
cle.
