Playback button for reviewing images on your memory card.
Menu button for viewing the menus.
Thumbnail button for viewing images as thumbnails and making images smaller
during playback. Also accesses the Help information about various camera settings
and functions.
Zoom button for making images larger during playback. Also accesses the setting
screen for shooting functions.
Delete button for deleting images during playback.
Multi selector for navigating menus and moving between images during playback.
The memory card access lamp lights up whenever the camera is reading from or
writing to the memory card.
AE-L/AF-L button is used to lock the autofocus and/or auto exposure readings.
This button is also used to protect images from being deleted during the playback
mode.

When you're looking at the shooting information on the monitor or changing a setting in
a menu there is often a question mark in the bottom left. If you see the question mark
it means you can press and hold the
to display a description of the setting/option you currently have selected. This can be
particularly helpful if you need a quick reminder of what a setting does.
