This chapter introduces the features and applications of the MS-7206.

The MS-7206 is a chassis-based, Ethernet switch system for enterprise networks. It provides

high switching capacity, scalability, high port density, and centralized management.

• The chassis holds up to four interface modules for a variety of Ethernet connections.

• The interface modules are hot-swappable so servicing or changing one does not affect the

others.

• Dual, hot-swappable management modules allow a switching capacity of up to 192 Gpbs

with two management modules installed.

• Dual, redundant power modules further enhance reliability. If one power module fails, the

system can operate on the remaining power module.

Use the MS-7206 to connect a high number of Ethernet users in a large building.

Or connect a high number of Ethernet users spread out over a large area.
