3. Technical brief

3.6. Voltage Regulation

The LDO regulators and the BUCK converter generate a range of programmable voltages, each
optimized for its load. When the analog baseband controller boots up or down, internal signals
activate or deactivate the LDO regulators and the BUCK converter. In active mode, the LDO
regulators and the BUCK converter are activated and deactivated through I2C. The low power
regulator is on all the time and has extremely low power consumption with limited output current. It
provides power for the 32 kHz oscillator and the real-time clock (RTC).
