Dialing from the Directory

Press [ ] or [ ] to enter the directory list.
• The display shows the number of stored items.

Scroll to the desired item. To scroll down,
press [ ] . To scroll up, press [ ] .
Directory items are sorted in the following order:
1 Alphabet letters (Alphabetical)

5 Telephone numbers (If no name is stored)

Base unit: Lift the handset or press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE] .
Cordless handset: Press [
• The phone number is dialed.
• If " No items stored " is displayed in step 1, the directory list is empty.
• To exit the directory list, press [STOP] on the base unit or press [OFF] on the
cordless handset.
• In step 1, you can go to the Caller List by pressing [ ] (p. 31).
To search for a name by initial
1. Press [ ] or [ ] to enter the directory list.
2. Press the dialing button for the first letter of the desired name until any
name with the same initial is displayed (see the Index table below).
e.g. To find "Frank", press [3] repeatedly until the first item under "F" is
displayed.
3. Press [ ] repeatedly until the desired name is displayed.
