Wipe both sides of grille with a
clean cloth lightly dampened with
mild liquid dishwashingdetergent,
or clean with a vacuum cleaner
brush. Be careful not to force the

be wiped or vacuumed, takingcare
not to damage the coil fins.
Washcabinet with mild soap or
detergent and lukewarm water.

of the unit should be checked
periodically and cleaned if clogged
withdirtor sootfromthe atmosphere.

The air filter behind the front grille
should be checked and cleaned at
least every 30 days or as often as it
needs cleaning.

Clean the filter
with a vacuum
cleaner to removelight dust. Wash
the filter in lukewarm,soapywater
and rinse in clear water to remove
stickydust.
When replacingthe filter, be sure
the word FRONT is facingyou as
you slide the filter back into place.
If your air conditioneris mounted
flush inside the room or if the
windowsill extendsfarther into the
r{]omthan the chassis, it may be
necessary to removethe front grille
beforethe filter can be removed.

To remove the grille on H5-volt
model
MS08AA:
1. Grasp the bottom of the grille
and swing it towardyou about 30
degrees.
2. Slide the grille upward to
ciisengageit from catches on the
upper part of the chassis.
The air filter can now be removed
from the grille—grasp the tab on
the filter and pull.
After cleaning, replace the air filter
and grille, hooking the top of the
grille on%o the upper part of the
chassis and pushing the bottom of
the grille in until it snaps into
place.

To remove the grille on 230-volt
model MT08DA:
1. Grasp the bottomof the grille
and swing it towardyou about 30
degrees.
2. Slide the grille downwardto
disengageit from the slits on the
upper part of the cabinet.
The air filter can now be removed
from the grille—graspthe tab on
the filter and pull.
Afier cleaning, replace the air filter
and grille, hooting the top of the
grille onto the top of the cabinet
and pushing the bottom of the grille
in until it snaps into place.
