Before Using Your Oven

understand how to use them.

the shelves. Take a practice run
at removing and replacing them
properly, to give sure, sturdy
support.

the first weeks of getting
acquainted with your oven.

Oven Shelves

The shelves are designed with
stop-locks so that when placed
correctly on the shelf supports,
they (a) will stop before coming
completely from the oven, and (b)
will not tilt when removing food
from or placing food on them.
remove shelf from the oven,
pull forward to stop-locks and lift
front of shelf. Be certain that shelf
is cool before touching.
To replace shelf in oven, tilt
shelf up at front and slide curved
extension of shelf under stop-lock
on shelf support. Then slide shelf
all the way into oven.
When placing cookware on a shelf,
pull the shelf out to the "stop"
position. Place the cookware on
the shelf, then slide the shelf back
into the oven. This will eliminate
reaching into the hot oven.

Shelf Positions

The oven has four shelf supports—
A (bottom), B, C and D (top).
are suggested on Baking, Roasting
and Broiling pages.
Oven
The light comes on automatically
when the oven door is opened. Use
the pad on the control panel to turn
the light on and off when the door
is closed. On double-oven models,
both lights come on when you
open either door or touch the
oven light pad.
