5. DTMF Memory
Up to 10 DTMF numbers (up to 15 digits) can be put
into memory.
@How to store DTMF signals
1. Press and hold down the F and CALL keys, then
switch the power ON.

2. Press the desired DTMF key. (Up to 15 digits)
The number is displayed from the right; when more than four
digits are displayed, the first digit scrolls to the left.
@if you press the wrong key, press the microphone VFO key, and
start over.
3. After the number has been entered, press the
microphone PF key.
®@The idisplay changes to P —.
4. Press a numeric key from 0 to 9 for the DTMF
memory channel that you want the number to be
stored in.
5. To cancel the setting, press PTT.
@ Tocheck the memory contents before
transmission:
1. Press and hold down the F and CALL keys, then
switch the power on.
2. Press the microphone MR key.
3. Press the numeric key (0 to 9) that corresponds to
the DTMF memory channel that ypu want to
checked.
The numbers stored in memory are displayed sequentially in the
frequency display, while the DTMF tones sound.
4. After the number has been displayed the radio will
return to the position shown in the diagram at the
left.
To cancel the setting, press PTT.
@ Transmitting DTMF memory contents.
1. Press the BAND SEL key to select the desired band.
2. Select the transmit frequency with the tuning control
or the microphone UP or DWN key.
3. Press and hold the PTT switch, then press the
microphone PF key.
The P indicator lights, and the receive mode returns
automatically. Release the PTT key.
4. Select the desired DTIMF memory channel number
with the numeric keypad (0 to 9).
The transmit mode is entered, and the DTIMF memory
channel contents are transmitted. When transmission
ends, the receive mode returns automatically.
