The user must ensure that only compatible port types are residing
on the same D-PVLAN. Otherwise, traffic misrouting may occur!
Port Type selection is made at the beginning of the provisioning
process for a paddleboard port. This setting, along with the D-PVLAN
membership assignment, is critical for proper operation of the ETHER-
1000 system.
Note: When the port type is changed, the respective VLANs tab
settings are forced to the respective defaults. Undo command will not
reinstate the previous settings in the VLANs tab.
D-PVLAN ID
Indicates the port‟s membership to a specific Distributed Port-based
VLAN (an integer between 1 and 60).
communicate only with the ports that are members of the same D-
PVLAN. When the Port Type is set to P-Trunk, this field reads "Group"
to indicate that multiple D-PVLAN memberships for the port may be
assigned. These memberships are entered in the VLANs tab.
Note: The selection of D-PVLAN membership also determines the
particular TDM pipe that will be used for this port‟s communication with
remote ports. See the D-PVLANs field in the Line Setup tab.
LAN Interface – Leftmost field
Displays the type of physical interface used for this Ethernet port.
Currently, the possible readings are:

Also see the Xover-Allow and Xover-In Use fields in the Port Details
tab.
For optical ports, indicates the optical level of the received signal. LOS
is displayed if the signal is not present.
