C.1 Boot Menus

The VMIVME‐7807/VME‐7807RC include a Boot‐from‐LAN BIOS option which
allows the SBCs to be booted from a network. This appendix describes the
procedures to enable this option and to select a LAN connection as the boot
device.
There are two methods of enabling Remote Booting. The first method is the First
Boot menu. The second is the Boot menu from the BIOS Setup Utility.
C.1.1 First Boot Menu
Press
at the very beginning of the boot cycle, which will access the First Boot

menu. Selecting Network: IBA LAN to boot from the LAN in this screen applies to
the current boot only. At the next reboot the VMIVME‐7807/VME‐7807RC will
revert back to the setting in the Boot menu.
Table C-1 First Boot Menu
Using the arrow keys, highlight Network: IBA LAN, and press the
continue with the system boot.
