Chapter 9: Troubleshooting
To prepare the Analyzer for shipping
Before repackaging the Analyzer, prepare it for shipping.
If the Analyzer is returned in anything other than an GE Analytical Instruments
shipping container, you will be charged for any damage that occurs during
shipping.
1.
If the Analyzer is making measurements, press the Stop Analysis button. Then press Yes to confirm you
want to stop the analysis.
2.
Remove the sample inlet line(s) from the left side of the Analyzer.
3.
Flush all lines. Place all four tubes on the left side of the Analyzer (acid, oxidizer, check standard, and
dilution water) into a container of DI water. Select Menu

The Check Standard MUST be in the Enabled state. To verify this, on the Setup tab,

press the Check Standard button and then press the Check Standard Setup button.
Verify that the Check Standard button appears as "Enabled." If this feature is disabled,
press the Check Standard button, and then press the Enabled button to the right.

Remove the four tubes from the DI water and then press the Flush All button again to drain water from
the Analyzer's lines.
5.
Remove the reagent tubes, Check Standard tube, and the tube to the dilution water from the left side of
the Analyzer.
6.
Turn off the compressed gas. Remove the gas tube from the Gas Inlet on the side of the Analyzer.
7.
Select the Maintenance tab, and press Shutdown.
8.
When the display is dark, turn off the power switch and unplug the conduit.
9.
Open the door of the Analyzer.
10. Wearing eye protection and rubber gloves, remove the tubes from the Gas-Liquid Separator. Unscrew
the bracket, and remove the Gas-Liquid Separator from the Analyzer.
11. Drain the Gas-Liquid Separator by turning it over. It is acceptable for the Gas-Liquid Separator to
contain a few drops of liquid.
12. Reinstall the Gas-Liquid Separator.
13. Close the door on the Analyzer.
You can now repackage the Analyzer and ship it to GEAI.
For international shipments, coordinate with a representative to ensure quick passage through customs.
