2.1.5 MUSIC 1 and MUSIC 2 Controls
The audio panel provides two stereo auxiliary entertainment inputs; MUSIC 1 and MUSIC 2.
These inputs are compatible with popular portable entertainment devices such as MP3 and CD
players. The headphone outputs of these devices plug into MUSIC 1 or MUSIC 2 jacks. Only the
pilot and copilot can hear MUSIC 1. MUSIC 2 is a non‐muted input heard only by the
passengers. MUSIC 1 and MUSIC 2 characteristics are affected by the active intercom mode.
MUSIC 1 is soft‐muted when an interruption occurs from an aircraft radio. Soft muting is the
gradual return of MUSIC 1 to its original volume level. MUSIC 1 can also be configured to mute
during ICS activity. MUSIC 2 is a non‐muted input.
2.1.6 Fail Safe Operation
A fail‐safe circuit connects the pilot's left headset channel and microphone directly to COM 1 in
the event of power loss or interruption.
