    GETTING STARTED KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors/Liftgate • Press the LOCK button once to lock all the doors and the liftgate. Press the UNLOCK button once to unlock the driver’s door only and twice within five seconds to un- lock all the doors and liftgate.

    GETTING STARTED WARNING! • Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or with access to an unlocked vehicle. Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended is dangerous for a number of reasons. A child or others could be severely injured or killed. Children should be warned not to touch the parking brake, brake pedal, or the shift lever.

    GETTING STARTED SEAT BELT • Be sure everyone in your vehicle is in a seat and using a seat belt properly. • Position the lap belt across your thighs, below your abdomen. To remove slack in the lap portion, pull up a bit on the shoulder belt. To loosen the lap belt if it is too tight, tilt the latch plate and pull on the lap belt.

    GETTING STARTED • This vehicle is equipped with Supplemental Seat-Mounted Side Air Bags to provide enhanced protection to help protect an occupant during a side impact. • This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Driver Side Knee Air Bag to provide enhanced protection and work together with the Driver Advanced Front Air Bag during a frontal impact.
  • Page 14 GETTING STARTED Installing The LATCH - Compatible Child Restraint System • Each vehicle, except commercial cargo vehicles, is equipped with the child restraint anchor- age system called LATCH, which stands for Lower Anchors and Tether for CHildren. • Two LATCH child restraint anchorage systems are installed on all second-row seats and in the center position on all third row fold-in-floor seats.
  • Page 15 GETTING STARTED Installing The Child Restraint Using The Vehicle Seat Belts • To install a child restraint, first, pull enough of the seat belt webbing from the retractor to route it through the belt path of the child restraint and slide the latch plate into the buckle.

    GETTING STARTED FRONT SEATS Power Seat • The power seat switch controls forward/ back, up/down, and tilt adjustment. • The recline switch, located on the out- board side of the seat, controls seatback adjustment. Power Lumbar • Push the switch forward to increase the lumbar support.

    GETTING STARTED • Place the ignition switch in the ON position, select Remote Linked to Memory in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and enter Yes. • Press 1 or 2 to recall the saved positions, or press UNLOCK on the programmed Key Fob. CAUTION! Do not place any article under a power seat or impede its ability to move as it may cause damage to the seat controls.

  • Page 19 GETTING STARTED Third Row Seats Third Row Power Recliner • The power recline feature, located on the side of the seat cushion, adjusts the seatback angle forward/rearward for occupant comfort. Third Row Power Seat Switch NOTE: • Disconnect the center shoulder belt from the small buckle and lower the head re- straints before attempting to fold/stow the power third row seats.
  • Page 20 GETTING STARTED Manually Folding Third Row Seats • Lower the center head restraint down to the seatback by pushing the button on the guide and pushing the head restraint down. • Lower the outboard head restraints by pulling on the release strap marked “1” located on the outboard side of the head restraint.

    GETTING STARTED CAUTION! The storage bin cover must be locked and flat to avoid damage from contact with the front seat tracks, which have minimal clearance to the cover. WARNING! • In a collision, serious injury could result if the seat storage bin covers are not properly latched.

    GETTING STARTED WARNING! • Persons who are unable to feel pain to the skin because of advanced age, chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cord injury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion or other physical conditions must exercise care when using the seat heater. It may cause burns even at low temperatures, especially if used for long periods of time.

    GETTING STARTED WARNING! Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving. The tilt adjustment must be locked while driving. Adjusting the steering wheel while driving or driving without the tilt adjustment locked could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.     OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS • A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. • Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.

When towing a trailer or operating the vehicle in off-road condi- tions, using ERS shift control will help you maximize both performance and engine braking.

Once the electrical device has been removed from the outlet, the inverter should automatically reset. If the power rating exceeds approximately 170 Watts, the power inverter may have to be reset manually.

Rotate the nut to the left until the winch mechanism stops turning freely. This will allow enough slack in the cable to allow you to pull the wheel spacer out from under the vehicle.

Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern until each nut has been tightened twice. The correct tightness of each lug nut is 102 ft/lbs (138 N·m). If in doubt about the correct tightness, have them checked with a torque wrench by your authorized dealer or service station.
