SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR

Lubrication Points

Apply Honda Marine waterproof grease to the parts
shown below:
Lubrication interval:
20 operating hours or one month after the date of
purchase or the initial use, then every 100 hours or 6
months (refer to the maintenance schedule on page 72).
To prevent corrosion, apply anticorrosion oil to pivot
surfaces where grease cannot penetrate.
TILT SHAFT
Apply Honda Marine Corrosion Inhibitor (or equivalent) to all areas under the engine cover and any exposed metal
surfaces except the belts.
