From Jim Marshall
I would like to thank you personally for selecting
one of our Marshall MG Series guitar combos.
Your new amplifier has been designed by the same
team of British designers who created all of the
great Marshall amps. It is built to the customary
exacting Marshall standards and will give you an
incredible spectrum of sounds to complement a
wide range of playing styles, as well as being
designed to stand the test of time.
The Marshall name has adorned many of Britain's
finest amps, from the early 1960's through to the
present day. Some of the original vintage amps
have become highly sought after by both amp
collectors and working guitarists alike.
This new line of transistor guitar and bass guitar
combos have been released to unanimous acclaim.
Your combo is part of a new breed of Marshall
amplifier, which has benefited from years of
experience and continual investment in research and
development.
Not only is the sound quality of your Marshall MG
Series amp of a standard that you would only expect
to come from our own design team, the G215RCD
features a stereo chorus facility which adds
unbelievable spread and size to your sound. The
Marshall G215RCD also has a CD input to allow you
to play along to CD's. The ultimate home practice
facility.
I would like to wish you every success with your
new Marshall MG Series amplifier, which I am sure
you will find a pleasure to play for years to come.
Yours Sincerely,

2. Gain 1
Providing that Gain 2 Control is kept at zero,
turning this up to around half way, i.e. around five
can result in some great clean sounds. Turning
this up past half way will result in your guitar
crunching up, ideal for vintage blues or classic
rock.
3. Gain 2
This takes off where Gain 1 finishes. Having both
Gains off will result in no sound. Turning Gain 2
will result in a distorted tone straight away.
Turning up this control even further will result in
high gain sounds, ideal for contemporary styles.
Cranking up both Gain 1 and Gain 2 will result in
monster distortion.
4. Treble
The Treble control will add or take away the higher
frequencies in your guitar tone.

The Contour control shifts the mid-range
frequencies in your guitar tone. By turning the
Contour control fully clockwise you will scoop out
of your sound most of the middle frequencies,
ideal for thrash tones if combined with high gain
settings. By turning the control fully anti-
clockwise you can get some great fusion type
tones.
6. Bass
Turning the Bass control will effect the amount of
low frequencies or bottom end in your tone.

8. Reverb Control
Adding Reverb to your guitar tone will add
ambience and size, giving the effect of playing in a
large empty room or hall.
