• Seek only radio stations with the pro-
gram types you prefer (such as Jazz,
Rock, News, etc.)
• Seek stations with traffic
announcements
• Receive announcements concerning
local and national emergencies
• Receive and display messages from
radio stations
RDS features work only on FM stations
that broadcast RDS information and
when they broadcast the signal. RDS
stations display their station name
instead of their frequency. Most RDS
stations also provide the time of day and
a Program Type (PTY). Refer to your
Owner Manual for additional information.
Radio with Six-Disc CD (if equipped):
PWR (Power): Press this knob to turn
the system on or off.
VOL (Volume): Turn this knob to
increase or decrease volume.
AUTO VOL (Automatic Volume):
Adjusts automatically to compensate for
road and wind noise by increasing vol-
ume as speed increases. Press the but-
ton until AUTO VOL OFF is displayed to
turn off this feature.
RCL (Recall): Press this knob to switch
the display between a radio station fre-
quency and the time. Press this knob
with the ignition off to display the time.
AM FM: Press this button to switch
between FM1, FM2 and AM.
TUNE: Turn this knob to select a radio
station frequency.
: Press the arrow buttons to go
SEEK
SCAN
to the next or previous radio station.
When a CD is playing, press the arrow
buttons to move to the next or previous
track.
: Press and hold either arrow
SEEK
SCAN
button for two seconds to scan radio
stations or CD tracks. A beep will sound.
Press either arrow button again to stop
scanning.
To scan preset stations or first track of
all loaded CDs, press and hold either
arrow button for four seconds. A double
beep will sound. Press either arrow but-
ton again to stop scanning.
Setting Preset Stations: You can set
up to 18 stations (six FM1, six FM2 and
six AM).
1. Turn on the radio.
2. Press AM FM to select FM1, FM2
or AM.
3. Tune in the desired station.
4. Press AUTO EQ to select the
equalization.
5. Press and hold one of the six
numbered pushbuttons until you
hear a beep.
6. Repeat the steps for each
pushbutton.
