    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Water Systems Fresh Water The fresh water tank holds 130 litres. Driving with a full tank will increase the fuel consumption. We will fill the tank 1/2 full for hand over. This ensures there is enough for the odd cup of tea etc.

    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Toilet Before using the toilet, press the blue button on the top to release a small amount of water into the bowl. Only use the special paper provided and NEVER put other items or sanitary wear in the bowl.

    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Electrical Systems There are two types of electrical systems aboard the motorhome: 12 volt and 240 volt. 12 Volt Engine Battery The 12 volt supply from the engine is from a normal 12 volt vehicle battery and is used to start the motorhome and to supply all the normal electrical accessories used in a vehicle (radio, Sat Nav etc.).
  • Page 6 MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Check all switches are in the off position. Ensure you connect the hook-up cable to the motorhome FIRST before plugging in to the 240 volt supply. When disconnecting , unplug the hook-up cable from the 240 volt supply first and then from the motor home.

    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Gas System This vehicle is fitted with a refillable “Gaslow” system. This allows you to refill the fitted gas bottle at any garage selling LPG (liquefied petroleum gas, also known as Autogas). You will find a book in the glove pocket showing where you can find garages selling LPG.

    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH Heating and Hot Water The controls for the heating and hot water can be found on the side of the bedseats in the bed. Heating The heating is controlled by the right hand control next to the hot water rocker switch on the side of the bed.

    MOTORHOME HIRER’S GUIDE CHAUSSON 2 BERTH TV/DVD Make sure the TV is plugged in. Press the red button on the remote and the light on the TV will go green. You can watch “ordinary” TV, Freeview TV if in an area covered by Freeview or you can watch a DVD.
