DriveControl
Thedrivecontrol i s located onthe underside of the upperhandleandisusedto
engage the drive.Squeeze i t against t he upperhandleto engage the drive;release it
to slowdownor stopmowerfrom propelling.
Cutting HeightAdjustmentLever
Oneadjustment l everislocated on the right rearwheelandoneislocated onthe
rightfront wheel. Bothlevers haveto beatthe samepositionto ensure a uniform
cut.Toadjustthe cutting height,referto the Assembly Section.

Themulchingcoverisusedformulchingpurposes. Instead ofcollectingthe grass
clippingsinagrasscatcher o r usingthe sidedischarge chute,somemowermodels
have the optionof recirculating the clippingsback to the lawn.Thisiscalled
mulching.
SideDischarge Cover
Yourmowerisshippedasamulcher. T odischarge thegrassclippings to the side
instead, f ollow the instructions inthe Assembly section to attachthe sidedischarge
cover.
Keephandsandfeet awayfrom the chutearea on cutting deck.Referto
warning label on the unit.
RecoilStarter
Therecoilstarterisattached to the rightupperhandle.Stand behindthe unit and
pullthe recoil s tarterropeto startthe unit.
Theprimerislocated inthe centerof the airfilter. SeeFigure 11inset.Theprimeris
usedto pumpgasinto the carburetor a ndaid instartingthe engine.
