Folding the Rear Seats

The rear seats flip and fold forward to
provide access to the Midgate.
To fold the seat:
1. Make sure nothing is in front of the
seat.
2. Pull the strap located at the rear of
the seat cushion to flip the cushion
forward.
3. Pull down the seatback to fold it flat.
See Section 1 of your Owner Manual.

Lowering the Midgate

The Midgate can be lowered with the
rear window in place or while the win-
dow is secured in the Midgate storage
pocket.
To lower the Midgate with the rear win-
dow in place:
1. Fold the rear seats (see Folding the
Rear Seats).
2. Standing outside the vehicle, place
one hand against the Midgate to pre-
vent it from falling forward unexpect-
edly. Turn the release handle (located
in the center of the crossbar) clock-
wise, allowing the Midgate to lower.
3. Lower the Midgate until it lies flat
against the folded seatbacks.
