Paper f ilters cannotbecleaned andshouldbe replaced every100operatinghours;
moreoftenif usedin extremely dustyconditions.
Remove t he foampre-filterfrom aroundthe paperairfilter. SeeFigure
16.Replace p aperelementwhendirty or damaged. C lean foamelement o r
replace whendamaged.
Neverusegasolineor low flash point solventsfor cleaningthe air filter
element.A fire or explosioncould result.
IMPORTANT: Never runtheengine withouttheairfilter.Rapid e ngine wear w ill
result.

or pressthe foamelementto rinseout dirt andwater.Donot twist;this

Attachthe newair filter with foamelement, a ligningthe hole inthe airfilter
with the intake manifold.SeeFigure 17.
