(3) Adjusting procedure by use of [RS-232C]
1 Get ready the PC with COM port (RS-232C) running on Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP operating system,
as well as the RS-232C cross cable.
2 Start the unit with the RS-232C cable connected.
3 Start the terminal software. (The freeware readily available on the Internet will do.)
4 Make the following settings.
Baud rate
Date LENGTH
Parity bit
Stop bit
Flow control
5 If the settings are correct, the terminal software indicates "ERR" against pressing of the "ENTER" key.
6 After the settings are done correctly, it is possible to make an adjustment by typing in the command
shown in the table below and pressing the "ENTER" key on the keyboard.
7 Command entry is successful if the

KRSW0001: ERR response
KKT10037: OK response to enable the process mode. If an ERR response is made, start again with the
KRSW0001 command.

With this command, the adjustment pattern's G level is set as its parameter
value. The parameter value is written in the adjustment value buffer of the
set.
High-level B gamma point adjusted.
Parameter zone: 0 thru 1023
With this command, the adjustment pattern's B level is set as its parameter
value. The parameter value is written in the adjustment value buffer of the
set.
Adjustment pattern displayed.
Parameter zone: 0 thru 1023
With this command, parameter-specified gradation patterns (rasters) are
displayed.
~ The patterns appear but the adjustment values are not affected.
Adjustment pattern deleted (simplified deletion).
With this command, parameter-specified gradation patterns (rasters) are
deleted.
~ After deletion, the standard gamma table is unconditionally set.
Be sure to turn off and on the AC power because the above gamma levels
are set for movies too at the AV position.
Patterns are displayed with the adjusted white balance settings stored in
the EEPROM.
Parameter zone: 0001 thru 0006
Low-level display: 0001 High-level display: 0006
