Trouble Shooting
Error Messages
If an error message is displayed, take the steps listed below.
Error message
Insert card.
Set the date, time and format.
FILE NUMBER OVER
Unmatched File
Protected
Card Is Write-Protected.
This file (movie or other file) can-
not be selected for printing.
Insufficient Memory
Format internal memory.
Format the card.
Card Error
File not found
Out of memory. Cannot record.
This function cannot be used cur-
rently.
Cause and solution
No memory card inserted. Insert the card.
Date is not set. Set the date.
The file number limit has been exceeded. Reset the file numbers or use another
memory card.
The camera cannot display this file. Check the file contents on a computer, and
then delete the file.
The file selected for deletion is protected.
The card is locked. Unlock the card.
Print settings cannot be set for the selected file.
The file cannot be saved in the memory. Delete existing files or use a new
memory card.
Maximum number of images are selected for printing.
You must format the internal memory. Format the internal memory in [Format
[Internal Memory]] of the [Setup] menu.
The memory card is not formatted. Format the card in this camera.
Format the memory card again. If, after formatting the card, the error message
still appears, the card may be faulty. In this case, do not use the card.
No files are available for playback.
The memory is full. Use another memory card, or remove the card and use the
internal memory.
The pixel mapping cannot be performed because the camera or battery is hot.
Turn off the camera and wait until the temperature of the camera or battery
drops to a normal temperature.
