Using the Magnetic Stripe Reader Slide the card in either direction through the reader slot with the magnetic stripe on the card facing the magnetic head. While swiping the card through the reader, the LED turns off. Once the magnetic stripe has been read, the LED will light and a buzzer will indicate a successful reading.
