Subwoofer Controls
Your PSW112 subwoofer has several controls that allow you
to configure the unit to reflect your personal music tastes. All
controls are found on the back of the unit.
v Frequency Adjust – This adjusts the upper
frequency range of the subwoofer. A typical setting
when using the subwoofer with the MNCX Platinum
Mini-Cube speakers is between 120Hz to 140Hz.
v Auto Power – The subwoofer can be set up with
two different power configurations:
Auto Power On – The subwoofer will power
o
down a few minutes after the signal is
removed and it will turn on immediately
when it receives a signal.
Auto Power Off – The subwoofer is
o
constantly on if the unit is powered up.
v Volume Control – The volume control should be
set to the desired bass level for the system.
v Phase – The Phase switch is set for the best bass
sound. Switch between the 0 and 180 position until
the bass is the loudest. In some applications, there
may be no noticeable difference and in this case
leave the switch in the 0 position.

Connecting Your Subwoofer

First, turn off power to your entire system to prevent accidents
such as short circuits from damaging your equipment.
The PSW112 subwoofer can be connected to your system using
one of three methods. The method you select is based on the
configuration of your system.
1. Amplifier with a subwoofer output connection – If your
system has a subwoofer output connection, use an RCA
type connector to connect the PSW112 subwoofer to your
receiver. A shielded audio cable is required for this setup
with a Y-adapter connecting the audio cable to Left and
Right Line Level Input on the subwoofer.
2. Separate pre-amp/power amp configuration – When
using a separate pre-amplifier/power amplifier the audio
cables may be routed through the PSW112 subwoofer unit.
Connect the pre-amplifier to the Line Level Inputs via RCA
cables and connect the Line Level Outputs to the power
amplifier.
