1. Attaching the Lens to the Camera
Align the lens mount index (white "0" or red "e") and the
mount index on the camera, indicated with the same color,
and turn the lens clockwise until it clicks. (Fig.
0)
• After detaching the lens, place the lens with the rear end up to
prevent the lens surface and electrical contacts from getting
scratched. (Fig.
8)
• If the contacts get soiled, scratched, or have fingerprints on
them, corrosion or faulty connections can result. The camera
and lens may not operate properly.
• If the contacts get soiled or have fingerprints on them, clean
them with a soft cloth.
• If you remove the lens, cover it with the dust cap. To attach it
properly, align the lens mount index and the "0" or "0" index of
the dust cap, and turn clockwise. (Fig.
e)
To remove it, reverse
the above order.
2.Setting the Focus Mode
For a lens that has a focus mode switch, it is possible to switch
between autofocus (AF) mode and manual focusing (MF). (Fig.
8)
To shoot in autofocus mode, set the focus mode switch to AF.
To use only manual focusing, set the focus mode switch to MF,
and focus by turning the focusing ring. (Fig.
e)
3.Zooming
The zoom lens enables zooming out or in by turning the zoom ring
or moving it back and forth. (Fig. e)
4.Setting the Image Stabilizer
A lens with an image stabilizer can compensate for camera shake
by switching the function on.
You can use the image stabilizer in AF or MF mode.
1. Set the STABILIZER switch to "ON". (Fig. 8)
• If you are not going to use the image stabilizer function set
the switch to "OFF".
2. When you press the shutter button halfway, the Image
Stabilizer will start operating.
• Make sure the image in the viewfinder is stable, then press
the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the
picture.
5.Selecting the Image Stabilizer Mode (Fig. 8)
You can select the image stabilizer mode with the image stabilizer
mode selector switch

MODE 1:
Corrects vibrations in all directions. It is mainly effective for
shooting still subjects.
MODE2:
It is used when panning subjects in motion.
It compensates for vertical camera shake during following shots
in a horizontal direction, and compensates for horizontal camera
shake during following shots in a vertical direction.
During following shots in a diagonal direction, you may not obtain
the image stabilizer effect in all directions.

1.Montage de l'objectif sur l'appareil photo
Alignez le repere de montage d'objectif (" 0" blanc ou .....
rouge) et celui de l'appareil photo, indique par Ia meme
couleur, et tournez l'objectif dans le sens des aiguilles d'une
montre jusqu'a ce que vous entendiez un declic. (Fig.
0)
• Apres avoir demonte l'objectif, placez-le le cote arriere dirige
vers le haut pour eviter de rayer Ia surface de l'objectif et les
contacts. (Fig.
e)
• Si les contacts sont salis, rayes ou portent des empreintes
de doigts, ils peuvent etre corrodes ou ne pas etre connectes
correctement. L'appareil et l'objectif peuvent ne pas fonctionner
correctement.
• Si les contacts sont sales, rayes ou portent des empreintes de
doigts, nettoyez-les avec un chiffon doux.
• Si vous retirez l'objectif, remettez le bouchon d'objectif dessus.
Pour !'installer correctement, alignez le repere de l'objectif
avec le repere "0" ou "0" du capuchon bouchon d'objectif, et
tournez-le dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre. (Fig. • )
Pour le retirer, inversez l'ordre ci-dessus.
2. Reglage du mode de mise au point
Pour un objectif qui dispose d'un selecteur de mode, il est possible
de commuter entre le mode de mise au point automatique (AF) et
de mise au point manuelle (MF). (Fig.
8 )
Pour effectuer des prises de vue avec mise au point automatique,
reglez le selecteur de mode de mise au point sur AF.
Pour une mise au point uniquement manuelle, reglez-le sur MF et
effectuez Ia mise au point en tournant Ia bague de mise au point.

3.Zoom
L'objectif zoom vous permet de zoo mer en avant ou en arriere
Ia en tournant Ia bague de zoom ou en le deplar;:ant d'avant en
arriere. (Fig. • )
4.Reglage du stabilisateur d'image
Un objectif avec stabilisateur d'image peut compenser les
secousses de l'appareil photo en activant cette fonction.
Vous pouvez utiliser le stabilisateur d'image dans les modes AF
ou MF.
1. Reglez l'interrupteur STABILIZER sur "ON". (Fig.
8)
• Si vous ne desirez pas utiliser le stabilisateur d'image, reglez
l'interrupteur sur "OFF".
2. Lorsque vous enfoncez le bouton du declencheur

le stabilisateur d'image commence
a
fonctionner.
• Verifiez que l'image dans le viseur est stabilisee, puis
enfoncez completement le declencheur pour effectuer Ia
prise de vue.

Vous pouvez selectionner le mode stabilisateur d'image

de l'interrupteur de selection du mode stabilisateur d'image

MODE 1:
Corrige les vibrations dans toutes les directions. II est surtout
efficace pour photographier des sujets immobiles.
MODE2:
II est utilise lors de Ia realisation de panoramiques sur des sujets
en mouvement.
II compense les secousses verticales de l'appareil photo lors
d'une prise de vue en mouvement horizontal et horizontalement
lors d'une prise de vue en mouvement vertical.
Pendant des prises de vue de suivi en diagonale, il est possible
que vous ne teniez pas l'effet du stabilisateur d'image dans toutes
les directions.
