The Extender is powered on.

*To determine the Mbps throughput rate of the Extender when used with your router, see the User Manual .
Setting Up Your Extender
When the Extender has been integrated into your wireless network, it will extend
the wireless network to include the area outside the range of your existing router.
Step 1:
First, place your Extender equal distance between your router
and the wireless computer located outside the range of your existing router.

Step 2:
Plug in the power adapter and turn on the
Extender, and wait for one minute.
LED turns green. If you have trouble completing this step,
see Question 2 in the FAQs on the back.
If your router has a WPS button:
Step 3:
Connect the extender to your router by
pushing the WN2000RPT WPS button and your router's
WPS button.
1. Press and hold the WN2000RPT WPS button until the
WPS LED starts flashing; then release the button.
2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your
router.
Step 4:
Connect your wireless PC to the Extender

by pushing the WN2000RPT WPS button and your
PC's WPS button.
1. Press and hold the WN2000RPT WPS button until the
WPS LED starts flashing; then release the button.
2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your
router.
If your router does not support WPS:
Step 3:
Wirelessly connect to the Extender network
by connecting to NETGEAR_EXT.
computer you're using is outside the range of the router.
When connected, the PC to Extender Connection Status LED
turns green. If you have trouble completing this step,
see Question 3 in the FAQs on the back.
Step 4:
Open a browser window
computer, and it automatically takes you to the Smart
