1. Status bar: Presents icons to show network status,
battery power, and connection details. For a list of
icons, see "Status Bar Icons" on page 33.
2. Home screen: The starting point for using your phone.
Place shortcut icons, widgets, and other items to
customize your phone to your needs. For more
information, see "The Home screen is the starting point
for using your phone." on page 32.
3. Primary shortcuts: Shortcuts to your phone's common
apps. For more information, see "Primary shortcuts
display at the bottom of the display. You can edit the
Primary shortcuts, except for Apps." on page 36.
4. Panel indicator: Indicates which of 7 available Home
screen panels display on the screen.
5. Shortcuts: Shortcuts to common apps.These shortcuts
are found on the Home screen by default, and you can
add more shortcuts to your favorite applications. For
more information, see "Use Application shortcuts to
launch applications from the Home screen. Your phone
comes with application shortcuts already placed on the
Home screen, and you can add your favorites." on
page 37.
6. Widgets: Apps that run on the Home screen. These
widgets are found on the Home screen by default, and
you can add your favorites. For more information, see
"Widgets are self-contained applications that you can
place on the Home screen for quick, direct access." on
page 37.

Status Bar Icons

The Status bar shows network and battery status and other
details.
Airplane Mode Active: All wireless communications
are disabled. See "Airplane mode" on page 156.
USB Connected: The phone is connected to a computer
using a USB cable.
Voice Call: A voice call is in progress.
Speakerphone: Speakerphone is enabled.
Missed Call: There is a missed call.
