Problem

If the sand is newly replaced, the undersized
grains are still present

Repairs on the pump should only be performed by professionally
trained, qualified technicians.
Solution
Backwash the filter .
Clean the hair and lint strainer .
Tighten hose clamps and connection fittings .
Unscrew the multi-port valve from tank cover and clean the
seal .
Check the seal, replace if needed .
Tighten clamp . DO NOT over tighten hose clamps
(35 in/lb max torque) .
Check the socket and power cord .
Switch on the breaker . If it is immediately tripped again,
there is a defect in pump or controls .
Replace the pump/motor assembly .
Backwash several times until the backwash water is clear .
Purge into drainpipe for 30 seconds .
Check the separation wall for proper positioning .
Replace the filter bottom strainer .
While pump is running, loosen, but do not remove, one of
the screw-on transparent covers on the filter tank to allow
any trapped air to escape . Tighten the cover once all of the
air has escaped .
