    Full-range loudspeakers The XY-122 and XY-81 come with pre-inserted mounting screws. These screws can be taken out and used to attach either special mounting hardware designed for the product or commercially available mounting hardware. Make sure to attach a wire for preventing falling parts and equipment of adequate strength using screw holes not used by mounting hardware.
  • Page 6 Damage to the ear can result from levels above 90 dB under prolonged exposure. Stand mounting The XY-122 and XY-81 can be mounted from a loudspeaker stand using the integral polemount adapter for a standard 35 mm (1.4 in.) loudspeaker stand.

    3 Rigging Setting 3.1 XY-122 Mounting points are provided on the enclosures of XY-122 for the suspension purpose. A cradle or a commercially-available eyebolt can be mounted to a mounting point when the enclosure is installed to a ceiling or a wall.
  • Page 10 3.1.1 Vertical Flying Cradle (CP-XY12VC1) To the ceiling When using the Vertical Flying Cradle (CP-XY12VC1), suspension of the XY-122 enclosure vertically from the ceiling as shown in the right figure is available. The weight of the Vertical Flying Cradle is 4.8 kg.

(Fig.3-1-4-A) Unscrew the screw on the rear side of the Logo badge and remove the Flat washer and the Spacer. (Fig.3-1-4-B) Relocate the Log badge to the desired position on the grille.
  • Page 19 To the ceiling When using the Variable Angle Bracket (CP-XY12AB1), suspension of the XY-122 enclosure vertically from the ceiling as shown in the right figure is available. The enclosure can be inclined forward at an angle of 43 degrees and backward 17 degrees from the vertical position.
  • Page 20 The hole (φ13) on the hook-clamp(B) can be used to install the speaker to the ceiling. (Fig.3-1-5-F) Remove the pre-inserted M10 mounting screw on the either right or left mounting point on the top of the XY-122 enclosure. Ensure the commercially-available eyebolt are secured to either right or left mounting point on the top of the enclosure to suspend it with wire as a secondary safety feature.

  • Page 22 3.1.6 Dual Enclosure Flying Plate Set (CP-XY12DF1) When using the Dual Enclosure Flying Plate Set (CP-XY12DF1), two XY-122 enclosures can be stably combined side by side and vertically or horizontally suspended from the ceiling as shown in the right figure. The angle between the 2 enclosures can be ranged from 50 degree to 95 degree.

(Fig.3-1-8-A) Ensure the commercially-available eyebolt is secured to the rear part of the top point on the XY-122 safety feature. The safe working load limits of an eyebolt are different depending on an inclined angle of the wire attached to the eyebolt.

    3.2 XY-81 Mounting points are provided on the enclosures of XY-81 for the suspension purpose. A cradle or a commercially-available eyebolt can be mounted to a mounting point when the enclosure is installed to a ceiling or a wall. The Safe Working Load limits: 60 kg/mounting point at maximum WARNING: Do not use a method other than the one prescribed in this manual.

  • Page 38 3.2.2 Horizontal Flying Cradle (CP-XY8HC1) When using the Horizontal Flying Cradle (CP-X8HC1), suspension of the XY-81 enclosure horizontally from the ceiling or the wall as shown in the right figure is available.   • Page 39 Procedure Note: The yoke length can be changed by unscrewing the knob and choosing mounting holes in the both yoke ends of the Horizontal Flying Cradle. Remove the four pre-inserted mounting screws on the top and the bottom of XY-81. (Fig.3-2-2-A) Using the supplied M8 countersunk bolts(B), align the mounting holes in the end mounts of the yoke of the horizontal Flying Cradle(A) with the mounting points on the top and the bottom of the enclosure.

  • Page 47 3.2.6 Suspension of the XY-81 enclosure using the eye bolt The XY-81 enclosure has total of 9 mounting points where commercially-available eyebolts can be mounted. Using the commercially-available eye bolts, a XY-81 enclosure or a combination of them can be vertically suspended. If eyebolts are secured to the rear side of the XY-81 enclosure for suspension, the enclosure can be inclined downward.

Insert an hex key into the two slits appearing after the packing was removed and remove the two socket head bolts from the HF drive unit. Replace the HF drive unit to a new one and insert an hex key to tighten the two socket head bolts on the HF drive unit with an hex key.
