Thede!ergent dispenseris located in the center of
0_ the dishwasher door. It hastwo compartments. The
main wash compartment is found insidethe detergent
dispenser.To open, pressthe blue button on the side of
the dispenser.The pre-wash compartment is on the lid of
the detergent dispenser.Usethe pre-wash compartment
only when your water is extremely hard or when you have
a heavy soiled load.
NOTE:Do not block detergent dispenserwith large or tall
utensils.

Youmay usetablet,powder,liquidor gel automatic
dishwasher d etergent.Makesureyou useonlydetergents
specifically labeledfor usein automaticdishwashers. Never
useliquidhanddishdetergentin an automaticdishwasher.
Sudsing and poorwash performancewill resultwith the useof
improperdetergents.
Detergents shouldbe storedin a dry locationand intheir
originalcontainerto preventlossof effectiveness. Place
detergentin the cupjust priorto startingthe dishwasher a nd
thenclosethe cover.Thecoverwill openduringthe wash
cycle.
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
GErecommends using detergent in tablet or pocket form.

are an exampleof this type of detergent.Simplyput a tablet
or packetintothe mainwash compartmentand slideto
closethe detergentcup cover.Please noticethat the tablet or
packetmust be placedin the mainwash compartmentof the
detergentcup. if thetablet or packetistossedin the bottomof
thedishwasher, t he detergentwill be flusheddownthe drain
in a veryshort periodof time and willthus be wasted.Wash
performancewillbe very pooras a result.

theamount of detergentyou usewillbe determinedbythe
hardness of yourwater,the temperatureof yourwater,and
thefood soilload insidethe dishwasher. C ontactyourwater
