Getting Started

The first ste p in using your device is char ging i t.
ON/OFF
Connec t the devic e to a USB por t on your PC . While
RECORD
c ha rging, the LED ind icator will blink or ange a nd will
b ecome solid whe n the battery i s full. Before fir st use,
we sugge st charging the device for 4 hours .
This d evic e rec ords d ata to a m icro SD card. D epending
on which ve rsion you p urchased, it will e ither ha ve a 4
or 8 GB memory ca rd . I t is com p atible wit h m icro SD
CAMERA LENS
c ards of up to 32GB c apacity. To inser t a mic ro SD card,
ge ntly sli de it i nto the sl ot with the coppe r cont acts
fa cing a wa y from you until you feel re sistance.
If you pla n on viewing your files on your compute r, we
sugge st using VLC Pl ayer. The most re cent ver sion can
b e d ownloa ded at no cost from http://www.videola n.or g.
To power the d evic e on, hold d own the R ecord button
for 2- 3 se conds. The LE D indicator will be ora nge and
b lue while the devic e is booting. Onc e it finishe s booting
it will a utomatic ally b egin record ing audio or video,
d epe nding on what m ode the device is set to. To power
the d evic e off, hold d own the R ecord b utt on for 2-3
se conds, and the LED light will tur n off.

Recording Video

To record vi deo, mo ve the M ode sw itch to the 2
p osition an d pow er the devic e o n. The LE D wi l l bl i n k
b lue tw ic e, and im m edi ately begi n recordi ng v i de o .
P ress the R ecord button again to save your c ur re nt
f ile and stop recording , re tur ni ng the devi ce to
S tan dby. Th e LE D wi ll gl ow o rang e w hil e in S ta ndby.
To beg in rec ord ing agai n, press th e R ecord butto n.

Recording Audio

To record a udio, move t he M ode swit ch to the 1
posi tion a nd power the devic e on. The LE D will b link
or ange t wic e to indic ate it is rec ording audio. Pres s th e
Re cord button again to s ave your cur rent file and s top
recording, retur ning the de vic e t o Sta ndb y. The LE D will
glow or ange whi le in Sta ndb y. To sta rt re cording a n ew
a udio file, you will need t o power the de vice d own an d
t ur n it ba ck on.

Taking Photos

To take photos move the Mode switch to the
1 position. Power the device on, which will
automatically record an audio file, as described
above. Press the Record button to end recording and
enter Standby. Press the Record button. The LED will
blink blue once to indicate it is capturing and storing
your photo, and will return to solid orange.
