The Canon PowerShot A430 may not turn on even with new batteries and a correctly installed memory card due to several possible reasons:
1. Power is not turned on – Press the power button for a moment. 2. Battery cover is not securely closed – Ensure the memory card slot/battery cover is properly shut. 3. Batteries are inserted incorrectly – Reinsert the batteries in the correct direction. 4. Wrong battery type – Use only new AA-size alkaline batteries or Canon AA-size NiMH batteries. 5. Insufficient battery voltage – Try using fully charged AA-size NiMH batteries or the AC Adapter Kit ACK800. 6. Poor battery terminal contact – Polish the battery terminals with a soft cotton swab and reinsert the batteries several times.
If the issue persists, checking for battery performance or using an AC adapter may help.
