Ethernet media between Local Area Networks (LANs) located up to 120Km apart. L322 Series CLIMs The L322 receives and transmits 100Base-T full-duplex Ethernet data from a UTP or fiber optic cable. The CLIM converts the data to or from an electrical signal and extends it over a variety of multimode or single mode fiber optic links.

The UCS 1000 and the UCS 1001 Chassis both host the CLIM BAM with CLIMs installed. The 1002 Chassis hosts the CLIM directly. The 1030 standalone enclosure hosts the CLIM directly. Figure 2. Host Options for the CLIM L322 Fast Ethernet Media Converters...

If you encounter resistance, pull it out and check that no connector pins are bent on the CLIM or the BAM backplane. If you encounter more difficulty, contact Canoga Perkins at (818) 718-6300 for technical assistance. Note: BAMs are hot-swappable and can be inserted or removed without disrupting data transfer in other application modules.
