Installation of optional storm windows will allow you to
maintain a higher humidity level inside without water
condensation on the windows. The condensation pro·
blem may still be present, however, in the
spaces
between walls or between the ceiling and the roof.
Therefore, minimizing the excessive moisture through
ventilation is still necessary .
• Recognize that the only way to stop conden·
sation is to reduce the moisture in the air in your
RV .
• Regularly bring in outside air through ventilation.
Air out rooms daily. Always use exhaust and vent
fans when cooking, bathing, or washing. Use them
more often and leave them on longer than has been
your custom.

EXTERIOR
CARE
Exterior Metal and Trim
The exterior finish on your motor home is as easy to
care for as the finish on your car. To keep it clean, sim-
ply hose it down with water, wiping the wet surface
with a cloth or sponge if necessary. Never wipe the met-
al surface when it is dry. Do not use harsh abrasives or
strong solvents on exterior surfaces.
Accumulated dirt or road film resulting from storage or
from heavy travel should loosen easily with warm water
and a mild detergent. Rinse with plain water. Applica·
tion of a good quality automotive wax will protect the
finish still more and add lustre to the color.
Roof
The adhesives and sealants used to construct your
roof have been chosen expecially to remain water-
proof under the sustained effects of weather and vib·
ration. Yet, even the finest materials available will even·
tually dry out and lose their effectiveness under the can·
stant heat of the sun and other elements. The severity of
the effects of weather will vary, depending on what part
of the country that you live.
Periodically, inspect the roof with careful attention to
the seams where the pieces of sheet metal are joined. It
may be necessary to re·seal these seams every season, if
your coach sets out in the hot sun most of the time. Ap-
ply one of the roof sealing compounds available from
your dealer or trailer supply store.
While inspecting, look for possible dents or scrapes caus·
ed by over-hanging trees and obstructions. These too,
should have a coating of sealant. Wash dirt and grime
from the roof when washing the coach to help minimize
oxidation of the roof materials.
