Forced Air Furnace
Your motor home may have a furnace and a forced air
ducted circulation system. Controls will be on or near
the furnace and will include a wall·mounted thermostat.
The furnace will keep room temperatures at a com·
fortable level by activating fan and gas controls as
temperatures inside the motor home vary. Refer to in·
formation
on
lighting, operation, adjustment, and
service on the furnace case (under the inside access
door).
NOTE;
I n cold cl imates the fan may need to operate
frequently during the night.
Water Heater
Your motor home is equipped with an LP gas·fueled
water heater. The heater is a storage type much like that
in your home. There is a thermostatic control on the
heater to maintain the water temperature within a pre·
set range. Before lighting the water heater, make sure
that it is filled with water by turning on a hot water
faucet such as the one at the galley sink. If water is sup·
pi ied from the on·board fresh water tank, the pump
must be ON. If water flows continuously. the heater is
full of water. If water does not flow, leave the faucet
open until the tank fills. For lighting and operating in·
structions,
refer to the manufacturer's instruction
manual or see the instructions under the heater access
panel.
LP Gas/Electric Refrigerator
Your refrigerator has separate controls for LP gas fuel or
electric power. Some models may operate on either 12
volts (optional) or 115·volt in addition to LP gas. Con·
suit the operating instructions furnished by the manu·
facturer in the manual and posted inside the refrigerator
door. Before operating the refrigerator, be sure the
veh·
icle is level. If it is not level, circulation of the refriger·
ant may be blocked by liquid accumulated in the con·
denser coils and cooling action could stop. Check the
level at the refrigerator by placing a bubble·type level·
ing device (available from your dealer) on the freezer
shelf. Adjust the level by jacking and blocking under the
wheels.
NOTE;
Unlike most household refrigerators, the reo
frigerator will be completely silent when op·
erating on electric power.
