Connecting the Unit
to Power
Plug one end of the AC adapter into the DC IN
jack, and then plug the other end into AC wall
outlet. Before switching on the unit, make sure
that the voltage of your electricity supply is the
same as that indicated on the rating plate.

Battery Backup

Battery backup will preserve the current time,
alarm settings, and stored radio stations in
the case of power failure or interrupted AC
power.
Insert two UM-4 batteries (AAA) into the bat-
tery compartment. Be sure to observe the

proper polarity (the "+" and "-" signs) as indi-
cated inside the battery compartment.

Setting the Clock

1.
With the unit in CLOCK mode (i.e., the ra-
dio is off), press and hold the MEM/M+/
TIME button for about 1 second. The time
will begin to flash on the display.
2.
Press the TUN+/HR button to adjust the
hour; press the TUN−/MIN button to ad-
just the minute.
3.
When the correct time is set, press the
MEM/M+/TIME button again to confirm.
