DIR EC T IONS FOR GR I LL I N G
1. Set the temperature dial to the off position "O" and insert the temperature control into
the temperature control socket. Plug unit into the appropriate electrical outlet. If the
temperature control is not completely inserted, abnormal heating may occur, resulting in
an accident or damage.
2. Set the temperature dial to desired setting.
3. Ready light goes off when correct cooking temperature is reached.
4. When food is completely cooked, it can be kept warm by setting the temperature dial to
"Keep Warm".
5. After use, set the temperature dial to the off position "O", unplug unit from electrical
outlet and then remove temperature control from the socket.
DIRE C TIONS FOR CL E A NI N G
1. Remove the temperature control from the socket.
2. Hold base with one hand and the safety handle with the other hand. Slowly pull up on
the handle while holding the base down. Pull the grill plate forward to take the grill plate
off the base. The clip will unsnap. If grill is hot, use oven mitt.
3. Although grill plate is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing.
4. Grill base is dishwasher safe, but should be placed only on the top rack of the
dishwasher. You can also hand wash.
5. Make sure grill plate and base are completely dry before using.
CAU T IONS A ND SUGGE STI O NS
POWER CORD
1. If the power cord becomes worn-out, stop using the unit immediately.
2. Be sure to only plug unit into the same voltage as that stated in the product rating
plate.
3. In order to avoid electric shock or damage to the unit, do not rinse or immerse the
temperature control in water or any other liquid.
HANDLE WITH CARE
The grill surface has a non-stick coat.
1. DO NOT use sharp metal utensils or knives to cut food on the grill plate.
2. DO NOT place the temperature control on the grill plate surface. It may scratch or
damage the surface of the grill plate.
3. DO NOT use cleansers, nylon or metal brushes, as they may scratch or damage the
grill plate surface.
4. When removing the grill plate, always hold the base of the grill and the safety handle.
5. After the unit has cooled, be sure to clean the grill plate with a slight damp cloth and
then clean manually with warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher.
6. DO NOT use grill on unstable locations, uneven surfaces or near flammable materials
such as newspapers, PVC cloth, curtains, etc.
7. DO NOT wet grill plate with the temperature connected to it.
