    If the generator is equipped with a fuel shutoff valve, the valve is located under the fuel tank. When using the generator, be sure the valve is open (turned counterclockwise) to permit the flow of fuel from the tank. During transport, the valve must be closed.     Before connecting any load to the generator, run the engine for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing it to reach normal operating temperature.
