Optical Adjustments

RELAY LENS ADJUSTMENT

[Before Adjustment]
- Adjustment requires a 2.0mm hex driver and a slot screwdriver.
- Remove cabinet top, cabinet front and Main Unit following to
"Cabinet Disassemblies". The Lamp cover must be re-mounted
otherwise the projector can not be turned on.
- Disconnect the connectors K1A, K1B, K8C, K2R, K2G, K2B and
FPC cable of LCD panels on the main unit.
- Remove temperature sensor (SW904) on the prism ass'y. Turn
the Main Board forward.
Note: Do not disconnect connector "K8E" (Temperature sensor)
otherwise the projector can not be turned on.
[ADJUSTMENT]
1. Turn on lamp by a state of without FPC cable of LCD panels.
2. Set the size of a screen in about 40 inches.
3. Insert paper etc. in Red and Blue panel to block the red and
blue light so that green light is projected and make a fine focus.
4. Insert paper etc. in Blue panel to block the blue light so that red
and green lights are projected.
5. Adjust the adjustment base of relay lens ass'y to make color
uniformity in white.
1) If the un-uniform color appears on the left or right of the
screen as shown in Fig.13-1, loosen a screw C with the hex
driver (Fig.12) and adjust the slot A to make color uniformi-
ty in yellow by using a slot screwdriver.
2) If the un-uniform color appears on the top or bottom of the
screen as shown in Fig.13-2, loosen a screw B with the hex
driver (Fig.12) and adjust the 2 screws D to make color uni-
formity in yellow.
6. Tighten 1 screw B and 1 screw Cto fix the relay lens unit.
