MERIDA pedelecs can be transported in the same way
as conventional bikes by public transport.
If the rechargeable battery of your MERIDA

pedelec is mounted to the down tube or to the
pannier rack, you can remove the battery for
an easier boarding and disembarking (a+b).
Before you start your trip, inform yourself in

time about the conditions of carriage and also
observe the regulations and rules about bike
and pedelec transport in the countries through which
you intend to travel.

By plane

If you intend to take your MERIDA pedelec by plane or
to dispatch it by a forwarding agent, you have to ob-
serve particular packing and labeling requirements for
rechargeable batteries which are considered as hazard-
ous goods. Contact the airline, an expert for hazardous
items or the forwarding agent in time.
