FCC Notice - Declaration of Conformity Information
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful

  • Page 5 (––). Headphone Output The DAC-9 includes a high-performance headphone amplifier with an independent volume control operated via the front-panel knob. (We recommend against using the provided 6.3mm and 3.5mm phone jacks simultaneously unless the two headphones in operation are identical models with the same impedance.)

    99. To accelerate the volume level, depress the Up or Down key until you achieve the desired volume. M – Mute. The Mute key mutes the DAC-9’s output. The front volume indicator will consist of a blinking dash (––).
  • Page 7 With its digitally controlled Analog Volume Control, the DAC-9 operates as a preamp. Where the DAC-9 is used with a separate preamp, the DAC-9’s analog output can be locked to fixed outputs. When enabling the Fixed function, a relay will bypass Analog Volume.
