Installation Installing the Advanced Video Scaler consists of three easy steps: connecting the power, connecting inputs and outputs, and selecting the desired output parameters. 3.1 Connecting the Power Connect the provided AC power cord to the power supply and connect the power cord to an AC outlet.

Press the Function button to select Input Source and use the Select button to select either the Composite or S-Video video source. Press the Function button to select Input Format.
ADVANCED VIDEO SCALER 4. Operation The Advanced Video Scaler has many features to facilitate proper operation with any projector or display. For a particular installation, you don’t need to adjust any controls after the unit is installed. However, you can improve the picture quality by processing the video as detailed below.
ADVANCED VIDEO SCALER 5. Internal DIP Switch Settings Inside the Advanced Video Scaler are several DIP switches for installation setup only that you do not need to access during normal operation. ADVANCED VIDEO SCALER 5.2 S1 DIP Switch The three-position DIP switch S1 is used to set the input video standard that the Advanced Video Scaler will look for on its inputs. All video standards are based on either 525 or 625 lines per frame. Most of the world is either NTSC-M or PAL-B and the default setting should be adequate for almost all applications.
