Rainsense™ Wipers (if equipped)
The Rainsense system monitors the
amount of moisture on the windshield
and automatically operates the wipers
as needed, depending on driving condi-
tions and the sensitivity setting. The
moisture sensor is mounted on the inte-
rior side of the windshield behind the
rearview mirror.
The Rainsense wipers operate in a
delay mode as well as a continuous low
or high speed as needed. If the system
is left on for long periods of time, occa-
sional wipes may occur without any
moisture on the windshield to indicate
the system is active.
To activate the Rainsense wipers:
Turn the wiper band to one of the five
sensitivity levels within the delay area.
The position closest to OFF is the low-
est sensitivity level. Each higher sensi-
tivity level increases the frequency of
wipes. The system can be overridden at
any time by manually turning the wiper
band to LO or HI speed.
Turn the Rainsense
Notice:
wipers off to avoid wiper damage
when going through an automatic
car wash.
