Glove Box
The glove box is locked and un-
locked with the oval key. The door
should always be closed when not in
use.
Fuel Tank
The fuel tank, filler pipe and all
tank connections have been carefully
designed to reduce fuel leakage after
termination of certain collisions. This
design reduces fire hazards in these
collisions.
Hood Release
Move hood release to right of vehicle
to open the hood.
If
the hood must be
slammed to insure closing, it needs
adjustment.
Rear Compartment
Unlock and open the counter-
balanc.
e d trunk lid with the oval key.
Close the lid firmly
to
close the lock.
The spare tire and auto jack are lo-
cated in the trunk.
Gas Cap
The gas cap is located in the left
rear fender in all Chevrolet station
wagons and behind the license plate
in all other models. Station Wagon
models make use of an anti-surge,
vented gas cap. All other models use
a non-vented gas
cap.
If the gas cap
is lost, see your Authorized Chevrolet
Dealer for a replacement.
CAUTION: Gasoline is flammable and explosive under certain conditions. Always stop the engine and do not smoke or aI/ow open flames

sparks near the vehicle when refueling. It gasoline fumes are noticed while driving, the cause should be determined and corrected
without delay.
