Special Safety Instructions

Warning symbols and words
The warning triangle appears in these instructions
where failure to comply with the safety instructions may
result in risks to the user or the appliance.
WARNING: Extremely hot liquid

WARNING
Avoid risk of electric shock
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Never touch live parts.
• Never operate this appliance if damaged.
• Operate the appliance only with a wall socket that
supplies the correct voltage.
• Never open the appliance yourself. All repairs must be
done by professionals.
• Never let the power-supply cord hang loose, lie on wet
or hot surfaces or immerse in liquids or oils, or become
entangled.
• Never remove the plug from the wall socket with wet hands.
• Appliance must be used only with the basic unit that is
provided.
WARNING
WARNING: Do not lift lid when operating. Scalding
may occur if the lid is removed when the appliance
is operating. The contents of the pitcher may be
very hot.
WARNING
WARNING: Frothing attachment may be a choking
hazard. Children must always be supervised and
never left unattended with appliance.
Hygiene and cleaning
• Wipe with wet cloth (and never use an abrasive). Rinse
and dry.
• Do not immerse appliance in water/never put in a
dishwasher.
• Do not remove foam with a metal spoon.
Short cord instructions
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks of
entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If a long extension cord is used, the
marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped
over or pulled on by children.
Never leave appliance unattended.
Do not insert any objects in the appliance's
openings.
