SETUP

Turn on the TV.
Set the TV to "VCR", or the position
designated for VCR use (always a
position where no TV programme
is
received).
Turn off the VCR using the (!)/1 button.
Press the PRESET button on the remote
control for more than 3 seconds.
The VCR display shows the RF output
channel.
Tune the UHF channel on the TV to the
displayed RF output channel 37.
For New Zealand*, tune the UHF channel
to 36.
The test pattern (below) will appear.
If necessary, adjust the tuning on the TV
so that the test pattern is clear.
If
the test pattern is disturbed or replaced
by a
TV
station, continue with step 5.

To store the channel, press the PRESET
button.
The VCR is turned off.
This completes
the video channel
setting.

Change the RFoutput
channel nurnberon
the VCR display to a vacant channel
number applicable to your area.
For Australia
Using the CH (+) button change the RF
output channel number.
RF output channel range is 28 – 69.
If necessary, return to "28" using the
CH
(-)
button. Then press the CH (+) button.
For New Zealand
Press the CH (-) button to display "28 on
the VCR display. Then using the CH (-)
button change the RF output channel
number.
RF output channel range is 21 – 69.

If necessary, return to "28 using the
CH
(+)
button. Then press the CH (-) button.

Tune the UHF channel on the TV to the
changed RF output channel.
The test pattern will appear.
If necessary, adjust the tuning on the
TV so that the test pattern is clear.

To store the channel, press the PRESET
button.
The VCR is turned off.
This completes
the video channel
setting.

has been factory set to
Australian UHF37.
The New Zealand and
Australian
channels are not the
same. This means UHF37 Aus
is basically the same as UHF36
NZ. But not exactly the same.
