Connect the personal computer, monitor, and signal generator as shown below, and control the monitor.
• Adjustment of screen position
1. Adjustment with expansion signal (below XGA)
(1) Input a cross hatch signal of VGA 640 × 480, fv: 60 Hz, and
fh: 31.5 kHz.
(2) Set ZOOM to Full-2.
(3) Set PHASE to 20.
(4) Adjust IN_OFFSET_H to bring the screen to an appropriate
position.
(5) Write the adjusted IN_OFFSET_H value into LOW_MEAS.
(Input "IN_OFFSET_H" of UMT to "LOW_MEAS" of SC
TABLE, and conduct service save ( Select S with ALT + M ).
(6) Input a cross hatch signal of XGA 1024 × 768, fv: 85 Hz,
and fh: 68.7 kHz.
(7) Set ZOOM to Full-2.
(8) Set PHASE to 20.
(9) Adjust IN_OFFSET_H to bring the screen to an appropriate
position.
(10)Write the adjusted IN_OFFSET_H value into HIGH_MEAS.
(Input "IN_OFFSET_H" of UMT to "HI_MEAS" of SC TABLE,
and conduct service save ( Select S with ALT + M ).

* Maintain the Aging mode for 30 to 60 minutes.

2. Adjustment with same size signal (SXGA)
(1) Input a cross hatch signal of SXGA 1280 × 1024, fv: 60 Hz,
and fh: 63.98 kHz.
(2) Set ZOOM to Full-2.
(3) Set PHASE to 20.
(4) Adjust IN_OFFSET_H to bring the screen to an appropriate
position.
(5) Write the adjusted IN_OFFSET_H value into SXGA1_MEAS.
(Input "IN_OFFSET_H" of UMT to "SXGA1_MEAS" of SC
TABLE, and conduct service save ( Select S with ALT + M ).
(6) Input a cross hatch signal of SXGA 1280 × 1024, fv: 85 Hz,
and fh: 91.15 kHz.
(7) Set ZOOM to Full-2.
(8) Set PHASE to 20.
(9) Adjust IN_OFFSET_H to bring the screen to an appropriate
position.
(10)Write the adjusted IN_OFFSET_H value into SXGA2_MEAS.
(Input "IN_OFFSET_H" of UMT to "SXGA2_MEAS" of SC
TABLE, and conduct service save ( Select S with ALT + M ).
(11)Get out of the adjustment mode.
Note: "Appropriate" means that vertical lines at both edges are
uniform. If impossible, select the adjustment value with
which the left vertical line becomes thicker.
